Necessity is the Mother of Invention

Whilst business life today may feel like an unmitigated disaster, the era of Covid-19 is a time of business evolution.

 We are seeing:

*Breweries and wine companies finding new uses for their products and turning their alcohol production to making sanitising solutions

*Online courses to assist businesses to succeed in these times and to implement strategies for unforeseen events

*Increased community focus  – cafes offering free coffee and food to those in need and bars creating innovative takeaway plans

Here at Australia In Style we too have adapted to the needs of the current times.

Australia In Style  focusses on providing services to the less mobile in our community. Established 1994 the company specialises in transport and tours for the less mobile, including wheelchair users. Clients are both local and international.

Recently we received 2019 NSW Tourism Award for Excellence in Accessible Tourism.

One of our popular services is to facilitate access for the less mobile to theatres and shows.  More than 20,000 patrons a year are able to enjoy shows at Sydney cultural icons thanks to a shuttle bus service provided before and after shows by the venues. Since March however there are no shows.

Founder, Vivien Reed, says  ‘These times have encouraged us to think beyond our regular services and extend our support to the less mobile in our community in a different way.’

We identified 3 key changes:

*New government measures of self isolation and social distancing have resulted in many people being housebound.

*This impacts on their ability to access basic resources .

*Home delivery of food and essential items is a simple answer but the service is overwhelmed by demand.

Australia In Style’s response to Covid-19 ?

Add to the fleet refrigerated van for home delivery.

Businesses can hire the van and driver and deliver fresh food and items to their house bound customers.

We see our new home delivery service as an extension of our commitment to ensure all members of society can enjoy life with dignity, regardless of age, physical condition or unexpected short term circumstances.

Today we are delighted to contribute to local small and medium size businesses and assist them to deliver fresh goods to their longstanding customers.
