For more than 10 years, we’ve worked with lifestyle co-ordinators of care homes, support co-ordinators. families, and individuals to ensure access is not a reason to miss out on experiences or services. 

Recent examples include:

• • Lifestyle co-ordinators of care homes book an accessible minibus bus to take groups on regular outings.  It may be fortnightly or monthly. The homes may have a small van inhouse, ( driven by one of the staff), however this may mean some residents miss out . By providing an accessible minibus -with driver- ensures more residents experience the sense of connection to the world outside of the home.

• • When existing inhouse transport is off the road for maintenance or repairs, lifestyle co-ordinators regularly contact us to provide a short term hire of an accessible van or minibus so that their program can still continue

• • Family members of residents book an accessible van on a regular basis to take their mother, sister or father out for a few hours – shopping or just a coffee. It brings a sense of connection and a reminder that simply time together means so much
