In every place of work there are special moments.
They transform an ordinary day to an uplifting and gratifying experience. Sometimes the humdrum nature of our day overshadows these opportunities.
Such moments happened recently for us.
It has been a thrill to be part of the team at ‘Make-a-Wish’ foundation . They transform the lives of sick children by granting their unique wishes.
The wishes of the sick children are rich in ideas – from playing on a renowned football pitch, meeting a favourite celebrity or going to the snow in a rocket.
Last week we supported the wishes of a 6 year old interstate boy in Sydney . His love of dinosaurs and his desire to see the Sydney Opera House came together in a unique wish when he saw a dinosaur show at the House today.
As the boy is confined to a wheelchair our wheelchair accessible vehicles were able to transport him from the airport and around town and to the show.
He was thrilled! And being with the boy and his family was a thrill for us too !
The experience is a reminder that everyone has a unique perspective and we can all make every day special for someone and also ourselves.
We look forward to being part of the make-a-wish team again soon and support the 10,000 + life-changing wishes that have shown each child that despite their situation, anything is possible.

Another unexpected moment of delight occurred this week….
On this occasion it came from a travel agent client. The agent knows we cater for people with mobility challenges, however they have a client with a different need that impacts on their enjoyment of travel.
‘ Do you offer services to support tours for people with a hearing loss? ‘ was the question.
It was a thrill to be able to say ‘ Yes, we can. We have signing people available for you in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide, The signing people can attend airport meet and greet and also accompany your guide on tours ’.
Maybe one day this service will be of interest to you or your clients too.
Our everyday activities can mean a lot to others and be transformative for them.
It is in these interactions we realise that there is so much we can learn from others, do for others and share joy in the process.
