Sydney's first green event transport

Australia In Style is proud to launch Sydney’s first carbon neutral transport company .
Consistent with a commitment to reduce our carbon footprint , management of Australia In Style addressed the issue of the greenhouse gas emissions from the company’s collection of vehicles regularly utilized for event transport and tours.
Founder, Vivien Reed, researched numerous accepted ways to counter greenhouse gas emissions produced by the company’s vintage cars, modern sedans and diesel coaches.
‘ The decision was made to offset carbon emissions with the planting of trees based on the annual fuel consumption of vehicles.
Two websites we found most helpful are http://www.carbonneutral.com.au and http://www.greenfleet.com.au.
These sites are user friendly and enabled us to calculate and purchase trees very simply.’
As a rule of thumb, for every 100 klitres of fuel used , the planting of one tree offsets the effect of the carbon emissions.
Did you know that the greenhouse gas emission of your average vehicle over one year is 4.36 tonnes of CO2 ? ( based on 14,100 kms, 1650 litres of fuel ).
By planting 17 trees you can neutralise the effect of these emissions and significantly reduce your carbon footprint.
By growing 17 mixed species trees as part of a biodiverse native forest, not only does this absorb a car's greenhouse emissions, but it also helps to tackle salinity, improve water quality and provide essential habitat for native species.
